Next show a' coming, still on a high from the last...

....ain't life grand?!

So, anyone who read the last post knows that I am STILL on a high from sharing the same stage as El Debarge at First Fridays this month. Sigh. Let's just take a moment.

I can now sail into my next show, a performance at a very cool and mellow venue called The Talking Stick. This is my first very westside appearance and I'm excited to be opening for an enchanting guitarist by the name of Stefani Valadez. From just the recordings, her voice sounds amazing so I'm excited to hear her live. And anyone who knows me knows I'm all about the powerful woman performer. :)

Please join me! The show will be Friday, April 30th at 7:30pm (really 7:30pm, I am the opener so don't be late!). Come enjoy good music, great gourmet coffees, smoothies, and desserts, and warm vibes...what's not to love?

Warning: Surreal moment ahead...

So last Friday's performance was fantastic. Song choices were good, band was kickin', crowd was new but friendly (shout out to Aydin for putting together an awesome show).

But the moment of all moments, the pièce de résistance if you will, was when none other than El Debarge took the stage after me. THE VERY SAME STAGE. He was the surprise guest for the evening and man did he sound just as good as ever. He sang some of my FAV-O-RITES..."All this Love," "I Like It," and "Rhythm of the Night," to name of few. You can ask my mom, we would be driving during a family trip, and no one could talk while these tunes came on. NO ONE. You just don't talk during greatness.

Ok, I will shut up now. It was awesome. I can say no more.
